The stroke unit in Margate hospital in Kent will close and 145,000 people will lose their local stroke service. They risk disability or death as a result of long travel times. These decisions are made for financial reasons but are justified as ‘improving care’.

The NHS is being planned in boardrooms and patients are suffering.

Billions of pounds are being wasted on privatisation when what we need is a publicly owned and planned NHS.
