NEW boy Joe Greenwood says Wigan’s offer was too good to refuse ahead of his debut against Leeds tonight.

Former St Helens back-rower Greenwood cut short his stay in the NRL with Gold Coast Titans to sign a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Warriors. He landed only on Sunday but is set to go straight into the Wgan side for the crunch clash with the wounded Rhinos.

Greenwood (above) said: “I loved the lifestyle in Australia and I would have liked to stay for a couple more years but when this opportunity came up I couldn’t turn it down.

“I’ve been keeping my eye on Super League and Wigan are up there, they’re pushing for silverware and so coming here was a no-brainer.

“I want to go straight in and make an impact.”
