Toffees up the Ante
EVERTON are keeping an eye on Croatia’s World Cup forward Ante Rebic.
He has impressed in Russia for dark horses Croatia on the back of a consistent season on loan at Frankfurt last season – alerting the Toffees.
Rebic, 24, scored nine goals in 28 appearances last term, including two in the shock German Cup final win over Bayern Munich.
Also linked with Spurs, Rebic has enhanced his value at the World Cup.
He helped Croatia win their World Cup group and scored their stunning opener in their thumping 3-0 win over Argentina.
Frankfurt have activated their option to buy the striker from Fiorentina.
He was rated at £26million, but may cost more after his World Cup displays. However, Frankfurt could be tempted to sell to make a quick profit.
