The famous win put Bobby Robson’s England on course for a quarter-final clash with Cameroon. And the African side’s veteran campaigner Roger Milla dismissed keeper Peter Shilton, 40, as too old.

“It will be hard to score against him but I’ll give it a go,” he said.
