Couple’s ban on looking at neighbours
A COUPLE have been warned they face prosecution if they do not stop looking at their neighbours’ home.
Nigel and Sheila Jacklin were banned from peering into a property owned by Stephane Duckett and Norinne Betjemann after a long-standing dispute.
Police stopped them from entering an exclusion zone and “looking into” the home by the sea in Normans Bay, East Sussex.
But Nigel and Sheila have called in lawyers to challenge the ban, which includes a stretch of beach.
Dad-of-two Nigel, 55, said: “The police failed to investigate our story. They treated us like criminals. We’ve caused no harm.”
Mr Duckett, Ms Betjemann and Sussex Police did not comment.
