Pub chain is ale-ing

-

Beer and pub giant Greene King suffered a hangover, despite selling half a million extra pints during England’s World Cup thrashing of Panama.

Boss Rooney Anand said the firm had been budgeting for only three England matches.

Greene King is banking on the team’s goal fest continuing after announcing a 1.8% drop in sales for the year to April 29.

Profits dropped by 11.2% to £243million as it was hit by higher costs.
