Body fridges grow in size

THE NHS has installed more oversize fridges in morgues for big bodies.

There are now 165 large fridges in London, a third more than in 2013.

St George’s Health Trust in Wandsworth, South London, has tripled the number of big units to 15.

Figures were obtained by the BBC using Freedom of Information.

Trevor Russ, of maker LEEC, confirmed there is a “definite trend” for big equipment. One in four UK adults are now obese.
