KI TO RAFA’S SUCCESS
NEWCASTLE have signed South Korea skipper Ki Sung-yueng on a free transfer from Swansea.
Rafa Benitez has had a slow start to the transfer window but welcomed Ki to his squad as rivals eye several of his stars.
Ki was handed a two-year deal and the 29-year-old midfielder became the Magpies’ second signing of the summer following the permanent arrival of keeper Martin Dubravka.
Benitez said: “I’m pleased to welcome Ki to the club. He is a player with lots of Premier League and international experience and it was an easy decision to bring him here.
“He is the captain of his country and a good character.”
