Ballack chips in with Loew blow
FORMER Germany captain Michael Ballack has blasted the decision to hand boss Joachim Loew a new contract before the World Cup.
The holders were dumped out at the group stages and there have been calls for Loew to quit despite the fact he signed a new four-year deal in May.
Ballack said: “The German FA have not presented themselves in a good light before or during the World Cup.
“It was unnecessary to give him a four-year contract extension just four weeks before the World Cup started.”
