NATION’S READY TO FLY FLAG

-

WITH the England team through to the World Cup knockout stages it seems like the right time to ACCLAIM THE NATION.

Eric Alston’s sprinter is a front-runner so a perfect draw in trap one at Chester adds to the punting promise.

Acclaim The Nation is 6lb higher than when winning at Thirsk last month, but showed his wellbeing when second to Harome from his current mark at Haydock on his previous start.

He’s strongly fancied to hit the back of the net this afternoon.

YAFTA shaped well over seven furlongs at Newmarket until his stamina ran out up the hill.

Although only beaten a head, Richard Hannon (above) has quickly taken a view that six furlongs is Yafta’s trip and he remains a horse to follow on his first try on sand at Newcastle today. KABRIT caught the eye on his handicap debut at Sandown earlier in the month, running on well behind two in-form horses. There’s more to come at Windsor. MOJIKA can improve on his Newbury effort at York.

Chester 4.50 Acclaim The Nation Newcastle 12.55 Yafta Windsor 3.00 Come On Leicester 5.20 Kabrit York 3.55 Mojika
