MAROUANE FELLAINI thanked Jose Mourinho for his “faith” and confirmed he will stay at Old Trafford for another two years.

The Belgium midfielder said: “I’m pleased to be continuing my journey as a Manchester United player.

“I made this decision because I’m very happy here. Also, I feel this team, under Jose, still has a lot we want to achieve. “I would like to say a special thank you to Jose for the faith he has always shown in me.” Mourinho, who defended Fellaini (left) when jeered by Reds fans in December 2016, said: “I’m very happy Marouane is staying.”
