Where there’s a Wills there’s a way
You only have to meet Prince William once to know that he’s a compassionate bloke. I’m of a republican tendency, but he’s an absolute delight to engage with, always keen to make whoever he encounters feel good.
He’s been weaving his magic in the conflicted Middle East this week where he told the long-suffering people of Palestine: “I am struck by how many people in the region want a just and lasting peace… You have not been forgotten.”
His visit coincides with the news that funding for young members of the Royal Family has risen to £5million per annum. A small price to pay if his non-political, humanitarian words have gone even a small way to giving a glimmer of hope to those who have suffered enough.
