Barnier: May must resolve Brexit issues
THE EU’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier has warned there are still “huge and serious” differences to resolve with just nine months to go.
PM Theresa May hopes to unite her Cabinet behind a White Paper at Chequers next Friday.
At the EU summit yesterday, Mr Barnier said: “I hope that it will contain workable and realistic proposals.
“The time is very short. We want a deal and are working for a deal.
Mrs May said: “We are publishing our White Paper shortly and I want to see the negotiations accelerating and intensifying.”
