Plane of 1D star Harry’s flying instructor ‘fell out of the sky’
A PILOT who gave flying lessons to singer Harry Styles died when his plane “fell out of the sky”, an inquest heard.
Nick Jefferies, 54, whose daughter Emilie once dated the One Direction star, was killed instantly along with Scott Penlington, 25, a friend of his son.
Rebecca Fleck told how she saw the Eurostar EV-97 light plane crash on her farm near Builth Wells, Powys. “It was spinning, rolling in all directions,” she told the hearing in Welshpool, Mid Wales.
An accident report said the plane had failed to recover from an “inadvertent manoeuvre”, which may have been caused by a medical incident or a near-miss with a bird.
The two men, from Harry’s home village of Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, were flying to see Mr Jefferies’ son in Swansea. The hearing goes on.
