FORMER England star Ian Bell smashed an unbeaten 82 as Birmingham Bears opened their T20 Blast campaign with a thumping win.

The veteran batsman (above) had a 121-run partnership with Sam Hain (45no) as they beat Notts Outlaws by eight wickets at Trent Bridge.

Leicestershire Foxes chased down 219 for a four-wicket victory away to Northamptonshire Steelbacks.
