GAEL MONFILS joked he would pull out of the Wimbledon final if it meant missing France play in the World Cup final.
The final in SW19 begins at 2pm on Sunday week and two hours later the big match in Moscow kicks off.
Parisian Monfils, who has never reached a Grand Slam final, said: “I’d be the first player walkover to see the World Cup. My dad was a soccer player. In France it’s a culture.”
