Kompany: We fear no one

- DAVID McDONNELL in Moscow

VINCENT KOMPANY insists Belgium will not be in awe of Brazil when they play the five-time World Cup winners tomorrow.

Belgium fought back from going 2-0 down against Japan to win 3-2 and earn a quarter-final clash with the favourites to lift the trophy.

Kompany (above) warned he and his team-mates believe the time has come to fulfil their huge potential and seize their chance.

“For this generation, this is the most important date with history,” said the Manchester City defender.

“The great thing about this generation of Belgians is we’re not afraid, that we have faith.

“We live to get the maximum out of this group, out of our potential, and this will be a special match.

“We knew that by getting first place in the group we chose a more difficult route.

“I would have preferred Brazil in the final, but let Friday’s match be our final.”
