ELECTRIC KONA CHARGES IN

-

It’s a no-brainer really. Take a compact crossover – the de facto family car – and electrify it. Which is exactly what Hyundai has done with its KONA SUV.

The new KONA Electric will be available to order from August 2. Prices for this ground-breaking car start at £29,495, which doesn’t include the Government’s plug-in grant of £4,500. This price is for the entry-level SE which comes with a 39kWh battery. Next up is the £30,870 Premium which adds kit such as privacy glass, automatic headlamps, climate control and more. The real choice is between this model and the flagship Premium SE, which has a 64kWh battery and a much longer range of up to 300 miles. That one weighs in at £36,295, less grant.

Currently, the KONA Electric is available to order only via Hyundai’s click-tobuy website but will be available from physical dealerships from next year.
