THE London Underground has a way to go to match the Moscow Metro, which is showing live World Cup games on TV screens inside trains.

The Metro has been fitted with 8,720 screens on 1,896 trains, all showing live matches. More than 350,000 watched Russia’s penalty shoot-out win over Spain from the Metro, according to authorities in Moscow.

Those using the underground system in Russia’s capital also benefit from a free wi-fi service on all lines. Once the World Cup is over, the screens will be used to inform passengers of schedule changes.
