Ash fight to be fit

- FROM JOHN CROSS

ASHLEY YOUNG is an injury worry for England’s World Cup quarter-final.

And there are concerns about striker Jamie Vardy, who needed an injection for a groin problem which meant he could not take a penalty in the shoot-out.

But of all the likely starters for the Sweden showdown on Saturday, the ankle injury left-back Young suffered against Colombia means he will be closely assessed over the next 24 hours.

Kyle Walker, Dele Alli and Harry Kane needed treatment but are expected to be available.

Gareth Southgate is likely to be boosted by the return of Fabian Delph, expected back after flying home to be with his wife for the birth of their third child.
