‘Hike tax for a better NHS’

MORE than four in five people are happy to pay more tax if the health service improves a great deal.

Some 84% were willing, but just 61% would happily pay extra to maintain current service levels, NHS Confederation’s poll found.

Chief Niall Dickson said: “There is an understanding we have to change the way we deliver care.”
