HULL LEFT ALL BROUGH-ED UP

DANNY BROUGH returned from a ban to push Huddersfield into Super League’s top eight.

The veteran playmaker had sat out three crucial matches for a dangerous tackle. But he was typically influential as the Giants moved up to seventh place.

The result dropped champions Leeds into the bottom four for the first time this season ahead of their announcement today over who will take charge following Brian McDermott’s dismissal.

Huddersfield will be hoping to look up now after beating a Hull side struggling to keep pace with the top four.

After Daniel Smith and Bureta Faraimo exchanged early tries, the Giants took a grip on the game to lead 19-6 at halftime with Aaron Murphy and Jordan Rankin also touching down.

The lead was extended when Jake Wardle sent Darnell McIntosh over after the restart, before Hakim Miloudi responded.

Winger McIntosh provided a smart finish for his second, and Black and Whites skipper Danny Houghton grabbed a late consolation for Hull.
