New care on NHS wards
THOUSANDS of patients are to benefit as a range of innovative treatments are made available routinely on the NHS.
They include a surgery for cerebral palsy, called selective dorsal rhizotomy, which eases tight muscles and can help children walk for the first time.
Other drugs and procedures will treat patients with irregular heartbeat and haemophilia.
NHS England said they were the “kind of innovations the NHS has been delivering for last 70 years”.
