Pair arrested over Lenin’s tomb tour con
TWO Russian students were arrested after charging tourists to see Lenin’s Mausoleum – in a flat on the outskirts of Moscow. Yevgeny, 24, posed as the embalmed communist leader there while Nikolai, 26, sought out victims at Sheremetyevo airport, saying the tomb had “temporarily moved”. Police said the pair, charged with fraud, were expelled from a university specialising in theatre.
Lenin’s Mausoleum, which opened in Moscow’s Red Square in 1924, is free to visit.
