Cheer on England.. and Croatia

- BY NEIL McLEMAN

ENGLAND and Croatia will share the same goal on Court 12 today when Dominic Inglot and Franko Skugor team up in the third round of the men’s doubles.

There are no British players left in the singles in the second week of Wimbledon for the first time since 2007, but there are 10 home players still in the doubles.

And Inglot and Skugor (far right), who won their first event together in Budapest in April, will put World Cup rivalries aside to take on Argentina’s Maximo Gonzalez and Chilean Nicolas Jarry.

Inglot (above, left) said: “Hopefully, some Brits will be supporting Croatia when we play together – just for now. Especially now we don’t have as many players left in the singles.

“We are a European team playing South Americans and that went well at the World Cup. We are looking forward to the game – it will be fun if we get to watch it together.”
