NACHO’S TASTY FOR SOCIEDAD

REAL SOCIEDAD have made an ambitious move for Arsenal’s Nacho Monreal. The Spanish club believe they can tempt the 32-year-old full-back (below) from the Emirates, even though he was one of the Gunners’ best performers last season – and there is no suggestion new boss Unai Emery is looking to sell. Monreal has been interested in returning to Spain in the past but has established himself as a mainstay in Arsenal’s defence and is a crowd favourite. Jack Wilshere is expected to complete a free transfer to West Ham this week on a pay-as-you-play deal worth £100,000 a week – and loaded with incentives.
