DANNY IS AFTER 8S
TIM SHEENS insists there is more to come from his side after Danny McGuire’s hat-trick kept them in contention for a Super Eights finish.
The Rovers coach saw McGuire (above) scored his first treble in Hull KR colours on a day when he also got 14 points from the boot of Danny Tickle.
Sheens said: “There was a bit more show and go from Danny which is typical of his football.”
But he added: “I was disappointed with our control in the latter stages. It is something we have got to fix. But hopefully we can get into a position to squeak into the Super Eights.
“If not, then I also think we have been winning games to get ninth or 10th and get four home matches in the Qualifiers.”
Salford are now five points behind eighthplaced Huddersfield with only three matches of the regular season remaining.
“We started as well as we have done for a while,” said Red Devils boss Ian Watson. “We were in control and dominating field position.
“But as soon as a bit of pressure came on we fell away from the process.”
