‘166 sick with pool parasite’

STOMACH bugs hit 166 children at a swimming school, a court heard.

Ryan Griffin and Donna Kettlewell’s Dolphin Swim School shut after officials said parasite giardiasis was found in its pool in York.

Griffin, 26, of Leeds, and Kettlewell, 29, of Barlby, North Yorks, denied safety charges and were bailed by York magistrates.
