Dad burnt by e-cig blast in his trousers
A DAD of six narrowly avoided skin grafts after his e-cigarette battery pack blew up in his pocket.
Jason Curmi’s jeans and pants were shredded.
He suffered borderline second and third-degree burns on his right thigh.
Recovery practitioner Jason, 46, from Greenwich, South London, has been off work for three weeks.
Jason said: “I lost a lot of skin. It’s a miracle it didn’t do more damage, to be honest. It could have set me on fire.”
Chinese firm EFest, which makes the battery packs, failed to comment.
