Holiday flight strike threat
Holidaymakers using Luton Airport could be hit by strike action after baggage handlers voted to reject a new pay offer.
Workers employed by Menzies Aviation are due to stage a two-day walkout from the early hours of July 20 in a row over pay.
Unite, their union, was due to meet Menzies yesterday to try to resolve the dispute.
Jeff Hodge, Unite regional officer, said: “Menzies Aviation boosted its profits by a massive 72% and workers at Luton Airport believe the company can do more to recognise their hard work.”
