Jamie & Co at doubles

THREE pairings with British men reached the doubles quarter-finals for the first time since 1939.

Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares beat Brits Ken and Neal Skupski 6-3 6-4 6-4. He also won with Victoria Azarenka in the mixed doubles. Britain’s Joe Salisbury and Frederik Nielsen won, as did fellow Briton Dom Inglot with Franko Skugor.

Heather Watson and Tatjana Maria had a walkover into the women’s quarters and she won her mixed doubles with Henri Kontinen.
