CROATIA’S DALIC: I CAN TAME LIONS

- FROM DAVID McDONNELL

CROATIA boss Zlatko Dalic says he and his players have done their homework on England and are ready to wreck their World Cup. Dalic revealed he and his coaching staff have a detailed plan for dealing with England and feel no pressure heading into tonight’s semi-final clash. “We’ve scouted England and analysed them,” he said. “We had two team meetings and showed them how they play. We did everything we could. We know where their threat is. We have to be wary of set-plays, but we have no reason to be nervous. We’re here to play well, no matter who we are playing.” Dalic (right) will leave it as late as possible to make a decision on first-choice right-back Sime Vrsaljko, who is struggling with a knee injury. “He has a niggle and we want 100 per cent match-fit players,” explained Dalic.
