Meghan’s dad is a dangerous man with nothing left to lose
WELL… he said it. Thomas Markle – the giant sized thorn in Meghan Markle’s slender side – remarked at the weekend: “It’d be easier for Meghan if I died.”
And it’s hard to disagree. That’s not to say she wouldn’t be sad. Heartbroken, possibly. Regretful, without doubt. Who wouldn’t regret a relationship with their dad breaking down so badly? But still, life would most likely be easier. Because all the things Thomas Markle could be doing to make his daughter’s life easier right now, he is patently refusing to do. He is refusing to sit quietly in his Mexico home without making an embarrassing weekly spectacle of himself on global news networks. He is refusing to offer emotional support as she embarks on a terrifying new life thousands of miles from home. And most of all, he is refusing to allow her to find a path back to him while he continues to criticise her and her new husband so publicly. I’ve said it before, but with every passing week it becomes more evident... Thomas Markle is not some innocent caught in the spotlight of the world’s media with his daughter’s future happiness at heart. He refuses to do all the things he could to make her life easier
before the wedding and a succession of interviews all revolve around one thing – Himself. And for a man with a huge sense of Himself the idea that she has tried to distance herself from his cruel and selfish behaviour makes him feel like he is the one who has been scorned.
Today this paper reveals the Palace is now locked in crisis meetings to decide the best path in dealing with “The Markle Muddle”. Yes, perhaps they should have done this months ago – and found ways to manage the man’s ego.
Because now he is acting like a man with nothing left to lose – and they are the most dangerous. And most relentless in their rage. A team of PR experts are racking their brains to find a way out of the dilemma. But I fear it will be of little use.
They say Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Well this father scorned seems to have plenty.
