BRISTOL CITY STRIKER MILAN DJURIC IS TO JOIN ITALIAN CLUB SALERNITANA FOR £600,000

EMILIO IZAGUIRRE has rejoined Celtic on a one-year deal subject to international clearance, the club have said.

The 32-year-old Honduras international (right), who left at the end of the 2016-17 to join Saudi Arabians Al-Fayha, returns to provide cover for left-back Kieran Tierney.

Izaguirre said: “I am happy to be back home. I was seven years at Celtic and I have only the love for Celtic in my heart, so I am so happy.

“It was a blessing to sign a new contract and I would like to say thank you to Brendan the gaffer and all the staff.”

The Honduran knows he will be playing second fiddle to highly rated youngster Tierney but said: “I am very happy he has progressed.”
