STAR MOANS ARE NO JOK
FULHAM boss Slavisa Jokanovic is not interested in keeping his £120million army of new recruits happy.
The promoted Cottagers made 12 signings, five on deadline day alone.
Jokanovic will not be able to play them all every week, and for every new face he picks he risks upsetting one who helped the club win promotion.
He said: “I’m not Santa Claus – there are no presents. I don’t need to make anybody happy.
“I’m not a sentimental man. It’s about being professional. I try to make it hard and create great competition between my players.
“This is the most competitive league in the world. Presents don’t exist. They must fight on the training ground and afterwards, if I consider it’s enough, I will give them a chance to compete in the Premier League.” Fulham host Crystal Palace today and Jokanovic (above) added: “It’s not a question of who’s a new player. In football, memory does not exist. We must always look forward. After the game people will tell us if we played well or not against Palace. “They will not be thinking about the Championship play-off final we won against Aston Villa.” Calum Chambers (above), on loan from Arsenal, and Maxime Le Marchand, signed from Nice, are likely to start in what could be a completely changed Fulham back four.
