Defoe’s set for coach journey
JERMAIN DEFOE is mulling over following his England pals Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard into management.
Defoe, 35, will study for coaching badges as he plans for life once he hangs up his boots.
The Bournemouth striker (above), who has 57 caps, said: “I spoke to Eddie Howe, he said it was stressful.
“Some days, you might have six or seven players knocking on your door saying, ‘Why am I not playing?’
“It’s tough and it’s something I would probably have to sit and think about. I’m going to do my badges and we will see what happens. Stevie and Frank have gone into it, but it’s not an easy one.”
