Beach trip is war bomber
A MAN tripped over a piece of metal on a beach – and discovered it was part of a Luftwaffe bomber.
Chris Gleadell used a 99p children’s spade to dig around the right wing engine of the Junkers Ju 88.
Records show a plane did crash near Sheringham, Norfolk, after aborting a raid on Liverpool on May 3, 1941. The four crew lived.
Chris said: “It’s maybe not to be seen for another few years if the shingle bank moves back over it.”
