Arnie backlash off target

I WASN’T surprised to hear from a lot of West Ham supporters after their win against Everton having questioned Marko Arnautovic in my Sunday People column. But those who thought I was questioning his ability missed the point — he has bundles of it and he led the line beautifully in the 3-1 win, pulling Mason Holgate all over the place. What I want to see is him playing as he did at the weekend for 30-plus games a season.

And to all those who said Arnautovic (right) was consistent from December and the difference between them staying up and going down last season, I’d ask what he was doing for the four months before then.
