“The Ryder Cup is The Ryder Cup, and our team just wanted it so much this week,” Bjorn added.
“That’s why they went out and did what they did. Every single person on here contributed at least a point. That doesn’t happen very often. The whole team has been part of this.”
US skipper Jim Furyk made no excuses for yet another defeat on European soil.
“I think the Europeans definitely did a good job on the golf course,” Furyk said.
“They know it pretty well. It was set up well, in their favour. It was a tight golf course. It’s a wonderful golf course. But at the end of the day their captain did a better job than I did.
“Their players played very well. We’ve just got to tip our caps to them.”
