ENGLAND CALL MAKES MOUNT A MARKED MAN

- BY JAMES NURSEY

■Both Premier League meetings between Burnley and Huddersfield ended 0-0 last season with just 27 shots attempted across the two games, a joint-low for a fixture in 2017-18 (also 27 shots in games between Everton and Huddersfield). ■Burnley are unbeaten in five league matches against Huddersfield (W3 D2 L0) since losing 2-1 in the Championship in Nov 2013. ■Should this game end goalless, Burnley v Huddersfield will be just the second fixture in Prem history to see no goals in the first three meetings, along with Arsenal v QPR between 1992 and 1994. ■Burnley scored more Prem goals in their last home match against Bournemouth (4-0) than they had in their previous five combined at Turf Moor (3). ■Huddersfield have lost their last four away league matches in October by an aggregate score of 1-13. ■Huddersfield are winless in their last 11 Prem games (D4 L7), scoring just four goals and failing to score seven times in that run. All four of their goals have come away from home. FRANK LAMPARD has warned Mason Mount he will be targeted in the Championship with Derby now he is on the verge of winning an England cap.

Chelsea loanee Mount, 19, has scored five goals for the Rams so far and been called up for England’s double-header against Croatia and Spain.

But Lampard insists Mount has new challenges ahead of today’s trip to QPR.

He said: “There are only two things that can happen now – you either stay there or drop out. I said to Mason it has only just begun.

“All this new positive talk means people will look at Mason Mount now he is an England player, and that is a different challenge for him.

“But it is a great test for him and he won’t be overawed.”
