MEGHAN Markle’s dad Thomas has admitted he snorted cocaine at the time he was raising his daughter. The 74-year-old also revealed he used to visit a Playboy Club in the Philippines. Speaking before today’s royal wedding, he said: “In the industry, in the 70s and 80s
there was cocaine around a lot. And I’m sure I had an occasional sniff of cocaine.”
The admission will bring further shame on Meghan, 37, who has already had to put up with her dad’s public rants against the royals as well as his staged paparazzi pictures scandal.
And Hollywood sources close to 74-year-old Thomas accused him of playing down his drug use.
One said: “Cocaine was rife. Tom endured long hours. He was at the top of his game, demands were great. A lot of people took coke to keep them alert.
“Tom was no different. Him saying he took the occasional sniff is conservative at best.
“What I will say though is it never affected his care and love of Meghan.”
In an interview with National Enquirer, Thomas revealed he frequented a Playboy Club in Philippines capital Manila. It was near a red light district but he said: “I never paid for sex.”
Speaking of his many interviews, he said of one UK reporter who upset him: “I’ll break his f ****** legs.”
Thomas has not spoken to Meghan since before her May wedding, which he missed due to ill health.
