U2 names in health scam

FRAUDSTER Mark Evill AN NHS manager used the real names of U2 stars in a scam to award contracts to his own building firm.

Mark Evill, 42, created workers Paul Hewson and David Evans (Bono and The Edge) to make his company look legitimate as he defrauded a Powys health board of £700,000.

Evill, of Shirenewton, Mons, admitted transferring criminal property, fraud and perverting justice. Sentence at Merthyr Tydfil crown court was adjourned.
