NUMBER CRUNCH

Research from the Child Poverty Action Group this week revealed a family with three kids is £2,512 a year worse off on Universal Credit than the old tax credits system.

A working single parent of a two-year-old will be £1,143 a year worse off. Young working parents will lose out by £1,063 a year.
