Evans blurts out Doctor Who plot

CHRIS Evans let slip Doctor Who spoilers live on air yesterday when he revealed key plot details.

The Radio 2 breakfast show host blurted out a secret storyline and dropped a clanger about the Tardis.

BBC1 bosses had gone all-out to keep details of The Ghost Monument episode under wraps.

But Evans, who was joined by Doctor Who Jodie Whittaker, read out a list of things not to reveal. He said: “It’s so secretive. The second episode arrived as an email. Not only was it encrypted... the email had a code name. It also came with this caveat saying, ‘Please do not reveal any storyline spoilers’...” He then EMOTIONAL Jodie Whittaker quoted them. A BBC insider said: “Chris ruined weeks of hard work after we begged people not to talk.”

Jodie said she is “quite emotional” following the overwhelming reaction to her debut episode last weekend.

An audience of 8.2 million viewers watched the series 11 opener, the biggest in 10 years.
