Have faith in those grit Danes

-

THE last time these two countries played it finished 1-5.

So we’re probably going out on a limb by predicting a bore-fest in Dublin tonight. That game between the Republic of Ireland and Denmark last November was a World Cup play-off and had much greater significance than events tonight. Then the Danes had Christian Eriksen putting on a masterclass. He’s missing tonight and the Irish have also been in decline since that game with rumours of internal strife. They must rely on Shane Long finding his goalscoring touch again, after hitting the net in just one of his last 18 appearances. He also got to get past keeper Kasper Schmeichel who has kept a clean sheet in seven of his last nine appearances for the national team. Goalless at half-time looks the call at 7/5 with Boylesports.
