WAGNER: I REFUSE TO HEAD HOFF

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

DAVID WAGNER insists he will not quit to return to Germany, claiming: Huddersfield is too important to me.

Wagner (below) has been mooted as a potential successor to Julian Nagelsmann at Hoffenheim when the highly-rated 31-year-old coach leaves at the end of the season to take over at RB Leipzig. Despite his winless Terriers sitting in the bottom three, Wagner, 46, said: “I have a contract here until 2021 that I totally respect. “Therefore, any comment on Hoffenheim is unnecessary. For outsiders who do not see our games and only look at the table, it looks more difficult than it feels for me.”
