Spainful.. but Giggs learnt lots

-

RYAN GIGGS will learn more from Wales’ 4-1 defeat by Spain than knocking over weakened opponents in a friendly.

Without talisman Gareth Bale, it was always going to be tough.

But what a great experience for youngsters in his team to play against one of the top sides in world football in front of 50,000plus supporters at the Principality Stadium.

Giggs will gain far more insight into the depth of his squad from those 90 minutes than the same scoreline, in his favour, against the Republic of Ireland last month.

And it’s a great mentality when a manager is brave enough to pitch his youngsters in against class acts such as Spain.
