Crown’s star gives pay gap cold shoulder
ACTRESS Claire Foy bares her soul – and a shoulder – as she talks about her pay issues in hit series The Crown.
Claire, 34, modelling for a digital fashion weekly, said she was “deeply hurt” about getting paid £10,000 less per episode than her co-star, 35-year-old Matt Smith.
She told PorterEdit: “I was deeply hurt. I’d been on that show for two years. I loved everybody on it. And then I realised there’s been a big, fat, dirty secret that nobody’s ever talked about.”
