POINTS OF DISORDER #1

-

LIFE is clearly unfair when universal credit families pay an effective 63% tax rate compared with only 45% on earners over £150,000 and just 19% on corporate slickers pocketing dividends instead of wages.

Benefit clawbacks might be tricky to pitch equitably but low-income families losing nearly two-thirds of every extra £1 earned is absurd when it can be less than a fifth in wealthiest homes.

The upside-down welfare state favouring the affluent few is why tax and benefits systems are ripe for revolution.
