Teen is killed in 999 smash

A PEDESTRIAN aged 19 has died after being hit on a dual carriageway in a crash involving a police car and an ambulance.

No one else was injured in the accident that also involved another car.

The teenager was killed at the scene in the early hours of yesterday on the A14 at Rougham, Suffolk.

The ambulance was carrying a patient and the police car was taking someone into custody but neither had blue lights on.

The victim last night had not been identified.
